Hi, I'm Barkley
I'm a software engineer based in Asheville, North Carolina, and I've spent years building websites and web applications that people actually enjoy using, for clients from the US to Scotland, Colombia, Vietnam and beyond.
I work across the whole stack, from polished front-ends in React and TypeScript to back-ends in Node.js, PHP and Rails. I also train and evaluate AI models with DataAnnotation, which gives me a practical, behind-the-scenes view of what today's AI can and can't do for a business.
My goal is simple: a site that looks great, loads fast, shows up on Google and makes it easy for customers to reach you. No jargon, no bloated templates, just clean work and clear communication.

Yes, and I love it. If you're just getting started, I can help with everything you need to launch online: your website, a Google Business Profile, lead forms and the SEO basics, explained in plain English so nothing feels overwhelming.
How much does a website cost?
Every project is different, so I don't do one-size-fits-all pricing. After a free review of your needs, you'll get a clear proposal with the price and scope before any work starts.
How long does it take?
A simple business site can go live in a few weeks; larger sites and web apps take longer. Your proposal will include a timeline so you know exactly when to expect each step.
What's included in the free site review?
I'll look at your current site's design, mobile experience, speed and SEO basics, then send you a short list of what's holding it back and how to fix it. There's no obligation.
Will my site show up on Google?
Every site I build includes technical SEO: fast load times, clean structure, proper page titles and descriptions, structured data, a sitemap and Google Search Console setup. Rankings take time, but you'll be starting on the right foot. More about my SEO services.
Can you connect my forms, funnels or email list?
Yes. I can build on platforms like ClickFunnels, GoHighLevel or Leadpages, or create custom forms that forward every lead to your inbox, CRM or email list.
How can AI help my business?
It depends on your business. Common wins are automating repetitive admin, routing and summarizing leads, drafting content, and smart search or support features. I'll only recommend AI where it saves you real time or money.
Do you only work with US clients?
Not at all. I've worked with clients all over the world, including Vietnam, Scotland, Indonesia, the Philippines and Colombia. Everything is done remotely, and I'm happy to schedule calls around your time zone.
